The TransQual East of England Migrant Worker Qualification Conversion project is an initiative of The Learning Partnership - Bedfordshire Ltd and Luton funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) with support through the European Social Fund (ESF). It is a free service to both employed migrant workers and their employers.
The Project provides access to a high-quality process using the government approved UK NARIC suite of databases. This includes
- A free service to both migrant workers and employers,
- An initial interview and needs analysis by qualified Advisors,
- Access to trained staff from an experienced organisation who will undertake the qualification comparison process,
- A second formal interview with a qualified Advisor who will explain the qualification comparison outcome and ensure the individual understands its implications, and agree the next steps,
- A clear, concise qualification comparison statement,
- Where required, discussions are held with employers ensuring they are aware of the comparison outcome and understand the true skills level of their employees as well as the potential benefits to the company of utilising those skills,
- Where necessary, signposting to beginner's level, work-related English language training delivered in the workplace or a community setting.
