TransQual East of England is an initiative of the
Learning Partnership Bedfordshire and Luton Ltd and is funded by the
Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and the
East of England Development Agency (EEDA), with support through the European Social Fund.
TransQual brings together two projects focused on individuals from the migrant worker and black and minority ethnic communities, to enable full use of the talents and skills these migrant workers bring to the East of England.
Many migrant workers often have high-level qualifications from their home country. TransQual East of England will provide a free qualification comparison service which provides individuals with a UK qualification comparison and demonstrates to employers the true skills level of their migrant workforce. We also offer free beginners level English language training courses to employed migrant workers. These courses are work-related allowing the migrant workers to gain an understanding of workplace processes, communication and interaction and health and safety.
Delivery of these projects is co-ordinated by the Learning Partnership Bedfordshire and Luton, working in partnership with organisations across the East of England, including
Bedfordshire and Luton,
Hertfordshire,
Suffolk,
